Wrecks in 3D

A number of the wrecks carry a rotating 3D model. I build those with photogrammetry: hundreds of photographs of the same object from every angle, which software then reconstructs into a single spatial model.

Underwater that is harder than on land. Visibility is limited, you have a bottom time, and every cloud of stirred-up sediment costs you part of your coverage. What it gives you is something a photograph cannot: the whole wreck in one image, from above and from the side, including where you could never get far enough away with a camera.
